Greetings from the PRESIDENT ESI.
I feel happy and proud, as well as privileged, yet humbled, to invite you to our flagship annual meeting, the Endocrine Society of India Conference (ESICON) 2021. This mega- event will be held at Bengaluru from 10th to 12th December 2021.
The last year has been a case study of challenges and concerns, a symbol of stress and suspense. At the Endocrine Society of India, we could have chosen to roll with resistance, to swim with the tide. Our spirit of resilience, however, has helped us convert obstacles to opportunity, and barriers to bridges. Keeping this in mind, we welcome you to the 50th ESICON, where we celebrate our Golden Jubilee.
Karnataka Endocrine Society, our host, has already conducted a successful face-to- face state chapter meeting, with over 200 delegates. Bengaluru citizens exhibit good civic sense, and all physical distancing and hygiene measures are followed in the city, at the airport, and by hotels.
We assure you of warm hospitality in safe environs, where we will discuss the latest advances in endocrinology and metabolism. The interaction between seniors, peers and juniors will fortify our academics, and augment our fellowship. In such a scenario, we all will benefit, and so will endocrinology.
